jump to repliesI’m sorry, but I have switched from #Firefox to #Chromium
I don’t believe it could be a good browser anymore 😔
#Librewolf is still an alternative but it is now to dependant of a software going to the wrong direction

back to top@adele Firefox has been going the wrong way for a while now. At every change of CEO they dig the hole deeper.
@venelles exactly my point of view
@adele Like you, I'm at an uncertain turning point too. Not sure which path to take next or even my current direction.
@adele yeap. A sad day for browser diversity indeed 😩
@adele
i agree. i'm curious what tor browser will do in the future...
@16180339887 yes, good question
@adele what is the specific point where you say it is enough?
@napierge all new features are about useless thing, they don’t listen to their users, and the market share of Firefox becomes ridiculous (due to previous points).
No specific point
@adele I'm still testing -#Librewolf for PC but for android #Fennec + for both of them their own password server - #Vaultwarden
@adele Isn't chromium dependant of a software going in an even worse direction?
For all the things we can have against the Mozilla foundation and how it is run, Firefox and its forks or alternative builds is still the browser that offer the most features to protect your privacy thanks to the continued extension manifest V2 support, the containers and tracking protection features.
I regularly reassess my browser choice and librewolf / Ironfox / fennec still come as the best option.
@oook True! Chromium has its problems too, but I see many browsers based on this open source software. I think it has so many forks that it is more secure to use it or one of its forks.
