Release highlights

• Fix an issue causing duplicate posts to appear in timelines.
• Fix RSS format issue.
• Speed up some queries a little bit (lists in particular, but home timeline a little too).
• Return more sensible HTTP codes from fedi endpoints when things happen that aren't actually errors.
• Add API scope for managing emojis.

Is it a good idea to setup a mail server for smol mailboxes and to open registration for free with invitation links for example?
The goal would be to reduce volume of emails, as #smolweb reduces the size of websites.

Something smol like:

• one common domain name (something in .casa TLD)
• in a French datacenter
• 128 Mb of storage
• 10 Mb max per email (sent or received)
• 10 recipient addresses per email (can't be used for mailing)
• limited sent per hour (no spam)
• IMAP / POP3 / SMTP (over TLS)
• Webmail (for desktop and mobile)
• autodeleted if full for several months (to free space for newcomers)

all development has been taking place solely on @Codeberg for months now, we just didn't want to remove our repo from Github immediately when we switched, since people might have been relying on it; so if you hadn't moved whatever mirrors / build systems etc to our codeberg repo yet, you ought to do it

Rewrote Planify's markdown editor from scratch.

The old one was too bloated for what we actually needed - it was built for long-form writing, not quick task notes. This new version is way more practical.

**Bold**, *italic*, lists, links, `code` - all the essentials without the fluff. Faster, cleaner, and actually fits how people use a task manager.

Sometimes less really is more.

1. Have a 'reject all' button that is as easy to press as the buttons that grant consent.
2. Test your site with no consent for user tracking.
3. Realise that all of the tracking bits are unrelated to site functionality.
4. Remove them.

Please read the migration notes carefully for instructions on how to upgrade to this version.

The migrations in this release are quite long (can take several hours, even!), as we had to rethread the entire statuses table to handle the new way we cache status threads (and to improve timeline performance). Please plan downtime accordingly, and most importantly hang in there and don't be tempted to interrupt the migration process!

Please also pay particular attention to the metrics changes, as we've significantly changed the way that metrics exposure is configured, so you will likely have to adjust your setup if you use GtS Prometheus metrics. • Support for avif file format.
• JSON logging format, for easier log ingestion.
• Atom and JSON feed support for RSS (not just xml).
• Reworked metrics format, more + better metrics, and an importable example grafana dashboard.
• Domain permission subscription retractions are now handled properly.
