How old are you?

I get a lot of shit from family members and even friends for being vegan. And if I'm honest, I'm sick of hearing it. They all tell me that vegans are weak and we're made to eat animals, and I'm not very healthy. I've been vegan and an animal rights advocate for more than 30 years. I really need to stop shrugging off the comments and tell them exactly how I feel about what they say about me.

Well, anyway, today, I started training for my 7th marathon with a 14.3 mile run in high heat and humidity. Not sure how I accomplish anything like this since we vegans are weak and unhealthy. At nearly 59 years old, I'm close to being in the best shape that I have ever been in.

bon, la fediverse, c'est pas si évident.

je me suis donné le challenge de ne plus publier sur insta, mais de faire un pixelfed que j'utilise comme mon insta d'avant.

mais..... je n'ai aucun-e follower d'insta qui a souhaité tenter l'aventure pixelfed, et trouver une nouvelle communauté, c'est éreintant je trouve au milieu de toutes mes autres activités.

ça me donne juste envie de laisser tomber, et reprendre mon compte insta où j'ai quand même pas mal d'abonné-e-s et des interactions qui ne donnent pas l'impression d'être en 2004 quand on commençait à réseauter et qu'il n'y avait personne pour commenter et échanger sous les publis.. et d'avoir l'impression que ses partages n'intéresse personne.

pareil pour mon compte eat ze rich. c'est dur de trouver les gens qui partagent mes activités ou s'y intéressent. et j'avoue que j'ai envie de baisser les bras. je suis frustrée et comme je ne suis pas ultra politisée dans mes partages j'ai l'impression que je n'ai pas vraiment ma place ici..

idéologiquement j'adhère à tout le concept, mais après plusieurs mois, à tenter de suivre, liker et chercher "ma faune" et bien je me retrouve un peu perdue et seule. les RS sont 85% de ma vie sociale et je pensais vraiment que j'aurais plus de facilité à nouer des contacts, mais ça demande une telle charge mentale....

en plus, je suis nulle en # et j'ai du mal à faire des alt text de mes photos... peut être que je ne suis pas assez bonne pour les réseaux alternatifs...

Ce qui me gêne avec les sites web sans CSS, c’est qu’ils ne prennent pas en compte les besoins des lecteurs en termes de lisibilité : longueur des lignes, interlignage… Le #gemtext, c’est aussi du texte au kilomètre, mais les bons clients #gemini permettent de régler ces paramètres, là où les navigateurs web s’en remettent précisément aux CSS.

C’est pourquoi je préfère de beaucoup le principe du « smolweb » proposé par @adele :

Je viens de publier un nouveau billet sur Standblog.org à propos des récentes déclarations des patrons d'OpenAI et Anthropic, le premier que tout va bien se passer (non) et le second que ça va être d'abord un bain de sang (peut-être) : https://www.standblog.org/blog/post/2025/06/19/IA-bain-de-sang-et-douceur .
Pour 1 fois, c'était un truc destiné à LinkedIn, mais à la demande de certains lecteurs, je publie aussi sur mon blog perso, où il n'y a pas de trackers, pas besoin de compte, et pas de pub. Vous en pensez quoi ? J'arrete ou je continue ?
